Why should you register for one of our courses?
Public First Aid knows that many people dread having to take a First Aid certification class. You have likely heard about bad experiences people have had in the past and are reluctant to go through the same thing.
Our courses are taught by instructors who are passionate about teaching and helping you to make a difference. Public First Aid uses instructors with lots of past teaching experience. They enjoy talking with people and it shows in their classroom.
We want you to succeed. That is exactly why our instructors have developed an engaging, interesting program. We deliver the lessons with enthusiasm and get the participants involved in the learning process. Classes are hands-on and our instructors are able to relate the Red Cross modules to their real world experiences in the past.

Antler Services of Brantford wanted to ensure their employees were trained and prepared in the event of a workplace emergency
Recently, Bob visited our establishment to train some of our staff in First Aid & CPR and we are so pleased with the training and information we received. Bob made the course interesting and used his experience as a Fire Fighter/First Responder to help us relate the scenarios in a "real life" point of view, making it easier for us to relate to and easier for us to remember what it is we need to do in the event of an emergency. I know, from experience, that some First Aid courses can be boring and monotonous. It can be tiresome to learn but Bob has a way of engaging you, catching your attention and making you realize that what you are learning can honestly and truly, save someone's life. Thanks to Bob, we all feel very prepared should anything ever happen that requires us to act in a first aid capacity. We feel confident that in an emergency, we will be able to call upon what Bob has taught us, to do whatever it is that we need to. We highly recommend Public First Aid and Bob Burland as an instructor and plan to employ Bob's services moving forward for our future training sessions.

Elizabeth organized a class for her girl guide troop...
We had a great experience...Bob was a fantastic instructor who presented things in a way the girls could relate to. They are all very excited to have competed the course successfully. Thanks again for putting this all together.
Mark and Janina wanted to ensure they could help their child in case of emergency
We attended the Red Cross emergency first aid training course and were so happy with the course and moreover, with our instructor Robert Burland that we felt in prudent to write in and let you know what a great job we felt he did. It's been many years since either of us had taken a first aid course, but with a young son we felt if necessary to make sure we were familiar and qualified to deal with any first aid emergency situations that might pop up. Bob made the course interesting and used his real world emergency experience to make the course topical and interesting. I have heard horror stories from some of my friends and colleagues about some first aid courses being offered by other groups that were simply drudgerous and taught so directly "from the book" that it made them wonder why they couldn't have read it at home. Thanks to Bob, we both feel very prepared should anything ever happen that requires us to act in a first aid capacity. Thank you for offering such a great and useful course, and for having people like Bob available to teach it. We both really feel that we learned a lot from the course, and because of Bob, we're going to be able to remember it.
